It’s been a little while now since some of you took park in the croquet experience event in Roberts Park as part of World Heritage Weekend 2016 on 16/17th April.
This is a very exciting time for Croquet in Saltaire! Much work has gone on behind the scenes since April. In Roberts Park the West Lawn is now under an intensive cutting regime and will be white lined as a short croquet court (24 yards by 18 yards). With these all-important preparations in place we now feel we are in a position to host the inaugral meeting of our brand new Saltaire Croquet Club!
Our first club meeting will be on Tuesday 31st May, and we will meet by the Park Lodge near the Adventure Playground at 6pm. Club nights will take place regularly on Tuesday nights thereafter.
Sunset is a little after 9pm, so there should be plenty of time to play, practice, talk, socialise, answer questions, discuss the future etc. And there is much to talk about. It should even be possible to extend to other evenings eventually as needed.
Everybody is welcome, and we very much hope to see you there!
Please wear flat shoes (e.g. trainers)
