Sculpture stolen from HWRG garden – keep your eyes peeled please!

Sadly we must report more theft and vandalism in our local community. A statue was recently stolen from the Hirst Wood Regeneration Group (HWRG) nature reserve down at Hirst Wood locks.

HWRG do fantastic work as a group, helping to green over and cultivate an area that would otherwise remain as an ugly swampy wasteland. Unfortunately they have suffered significant ongoing problems with thefts and vandalism – acts which are becoming increasingly outrageous and brazen over time, and are understandably impacting their volunteers morale.

As ever can people keep a lookout – and please report anyone acting suspiciously. In the latest case the thieves involved would have literally had to dig the statue up first before making off with it!
